Me and myselves.

The title “Borderline Perspectives” comes from a mental illness known as Borderline Personality Disorder which was gracefully bestowed upon me on my 18th birthday. I had been told previously that this was what I was probably “suffering” from, but it being a personality disorder it cannot be officially diagnosed until the person reaches adulthood. When the honor was given to me I did what any good Borderline would do and immediately began to rebel in any way I could think of including; running away, acting out aggressively, and attempting suicide multiple times. I kept up this mode of behavior through out most of my teenage and young adult years. It was not until I went through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and discovered that by eliminating suicide as an option I could actually achieve something with my life. A year after graduating the program I lost the “title” of Borderline. There are still times when my behavior is very typical Borderline behavior, but it is no longer the mainstay of my days. I do, however, continue to suffer from Schizo-Affective Disorder which leads me to have unique outlooks and experiences.

I hope to use this blog not only to tell about the zany things that cross my mind, but also to explore some of my past behavior.

Enjoy.

Having said nothing, I have nothing more to say.
